Summary: Turing is seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Payment Specialist to join our Finance team.
This role involves managing the contractor payout operations across global jurisdictions, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payments.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, is passionate about improving financial operations, and possesses strong collaboration skills.Responsibilities:Own the contractor payment lifecycle, ensuring timely execution and accurate documentationManage monthly and off-cycle payout processesValidate and reconcile payment inputs across systems and teamsRespond to payment-related inquiries from internal stakeholders and external contractorsEnsure global compliance with tax, employment, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictionsPrepare audit documentation and maintain controls for payout-related processesPartner with Finance, People, and Legal teams to improve data flow and automation between platformsProactively identify operational inefficiencies and drive improvement initiativesMaintain up-to-date best practices and documentation of payout processesCollaborate with Finance and People teams to ensure smooth payment executionPartner with the Revenue Accounting team on month-end close activities related to contractor expensesQualifications:3–5+ years in finance operations, payroll, or payment processing rolesFamiliarity with platforms like Deel, HiBob, Jibble, etc.Understanding of global compliance for contractor payoutsProficient in Excel & Google SheetsExperience collaborating with stakeholders in other departmentsDetail-oriented with high data accuracyProficient use of AI agents to enhance workload efficiencyProactive problem-solverStrong communicator and organizerManages multiple priorities and deadlines effectivelyNavigates ambiguity and builds new processes confidentlyYou'll Thrive in This Role If You:Take ownership and pride in financial executionLove optimizing processes and systemsEnjoy working at global scale and complexityAre highly accountable and action-orientedEmbrace AI and automation for scale and efficiencyAdvantages of joining Turing:Amazing work culture (Super collaborative & supportive work environment; 5 days a week)Awesome colleagues (Surround yourself with top talent from Meta, Google, LinkedIn etc. as well as people with deep startup experience)Competitive compensationFull-time remote opportunityDon't meet every single requirement?
