Our organization is looking for an individual to fill a critical Business Development role.The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with key decision makers in the software industry.Key responsibilities include developing and managing an M&A pipeline through Salesforce CRM, creating market maps to build strong relationships in assigned software industry verticals, meeting and exceeding monthly M&A targets, and ensuring the lead database is allocated accurately within portfolio verticals.Develop and manage an M&A pipeline through Salesforce CRM to identify and pursue strategic acquisition opportunities.Build and maintain relationships with CEOs, M&A advisors, corporate development professionals, private equity and venture capital professionals to facilitate successful acquisitions.Meet and exceed targets by consistently delivering high-quality market research, measurable outcomes, and continuous value-add through multiple M&A conversations/relationships.RequirementsA minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Business Development/Sales position at a software company or client-facing M&A/finance role within business development, sales, and/or account management.Clear interest in developing long-term meaningful relationships with prospects as a career trajectory within software investing.Proven track record of success in Business Development, autonomous roles, or other walks of life outside professional BD experience, such as entrepreneurship.Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with confidence and executive presence to communicate effectively with key stakeholders.Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work variable hours with a strong work ethic, proactive approach, and sense of urgency.This role offers the opportunity to work remotely and occasionally travel in-person for meetings and events.
