What You'll Do
The Senior Specialist, FP&A is a member of the Financial Planning and Analysis team, working in collaboration with the finance, advancement, and programs teams.
As a critical support to the Financial Planning and Analysis team, the Senior Specialist, FP&A will assist in leading financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, auditing and reporting activities, leading to continuing financial sustainability, cost recovery strategies, and future insights.
This position manages tight deadlines and a multitude of activities including costing allocations, budget proposal support, financial reporting and analysis support, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
As needed, this position may provide support to other Finance-related functions, such as the month-end close process.
Assists in the planning, coordination and training related to the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes across all functions and departments through appropriate coordination, preparation, scheduling, reporting, and analysis.
Performs various tasks to support the budget and forecast cycles; such as personnel updates, budget template preparation, and quarterly portfolio analysis.
Collaborates with the Advancement division and programmatic departments to develop financially sound, effective and efficient budgets for contracts and proposals with a high level of customer service as an advisor to directors and program managers.
Attributes for Success
Demonstrates subject matter expertise in at least four areas: Advanced Excel/Google sheets, advanced forecast/budget modeling, dashboards in Workday, Workday ERP system, and/or Adaptive Planning
Holds at least one professional credential, certification, and/or advanced degree relevant to work.
Minimum of six (6) + years of related work experience in budget development, forecast, budget planning, FASB and GAP.
Minimum of five (5) + years of non-profit accounting.

Budgeted Annual Salary Pay Range:$80,000.00 - $90,000.00
Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
