This Art Director will lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary artists, engineers, and designers to help create the future vision of Fortnite.
This person will have experience guiding a high-level vision.
You will harness a balance of creative thinking with a strong ability to partner and lead teams in developing content for our various projects.
By working closely with the Senior Director of Art you will be accountable for identifying and communicating a high-quality visual style.
You will also develop a seasonal vision and execute that vision with a team of artists and coach them to do the same.In this role, you willBe highly creative; Imagine and communicate vision to leadership and the team to develop new content that players will loveCollaborate with multiple teams, including Design, Engineering, and Production to develop world-class player experiences and interpret the needs of all development disciplines into final artworkDeliver effective feedback across all art disciplines - concept, modeling, environment, tech art, lighting, VFX, etc.Collaborate with the teams to identify great ideas and steer them through the pipelineFilter multiple sources of analysis and feedback into visual direction for creating new artThink strategically about art and how it informs the player experienceWork within the style of our projects with an eye towards driving the Fortnite brand forwardWhat we're looking forExperience defining and shipping a product-level visionStrong desire to partner with disciplines outside of Art to create a unified visionClear understanding and value of art team roles in the player experienceExperience as a product-level Art Director in a game studio with a deep understanding of art disciplines and their workflowsStrong understanding of art fundamentals, multiple art styles, anatomy, appeal, and storytellingExperience supporting and directing artists across multiple disciplinesThe ability to adapt to and innovate on new styles and techniquesStrong collaborative nature to partner with art directors, other discipline leads, and productionStrong leadership skills, with an expectation to guide large teams toward a shared visionExperience with effective feedback for outsourcing and contractorsEPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFEWe pay 100% for benefits for both employees (EEs) and dependents (deps).
