: We are looking for Senior Facilities Assistants (holding the functional title of Works Supervisor II)/Facilities Assistants to join the Maintenance and Operations Unit of the Estates Office.The RoleThe appointees will assist in working with contractors, carrying out inspection, maintenance and repair of plumbing/electrical systems to ensure that they conform with the University and statutory requirements; and perform other duties as assigned.
Working outside normal office hours and providing emergency on-call services on a rotational basis are required as necessary.
Enquires about the posts should be sent to Qualifications And QualitiesApplicants should possess:5 passes in HKCEE, including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics; OR min.
Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; OR a recognized certificate in the areas of plumbing services/electrical installations;At least 3 years' experience in carpentry/painting/plumbing/electrical system maintenance and repair;A valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card) issued in accordance with Chapter 59 of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance (i.e. by attending the relevant safety training courses which are recognized by the Commissioner for Labour) or equivalent;A fair command of spoken English and Chinese;Valid driving license (Classes 1 and 2) holder with solid driving experience is preferred; andPossession of a registered electrical worker certificate and/or a plumber's license is an added advantage.Applicants with lower qualifications or less experience would be considered for the post of Facilities Assistant.Those who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
