Wabtec is hiring a Commercial Finance Leader to support commercial activity with railroads primarily in Brazil and Mexico and will be responsible for all related financial considerations. The professional will lead proposal financial modeling and management presentation while ensuring policy compliance throughout the modeling phase and develop cross functional plans to integrate learning from the proposal phase into process enhancements for future annual contract performance reviews.
Main Responsibilities
- Be a contractual expert for current and proposed Master Service Agreements and locomotive modernization agreements
- Partner with the Sales and Operations teams to provide financial and technical expertise critical in the development of overall risk management strategy for proposals for new contracts and restructuring of existing agreements
- Review customer proposals and assist in the development of final contract documents for Terms & Conditions compliance and risk mitigation
- Be responsible for continuously monitoring the health of customer contracts through development of scenario / sensitivity assessments, and other analytics with the local Operations and Finance teams, for example, to support annual Contract Margin Reviews
- Ensure strong commercial team to operations team hand-off
- Develop processes to support the extended Commercial Finance team, Contract Performance Managers, and customer Finance and Operations teams
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Proven experience with Contractual Services
- Residency in Mexico or Brazil
- Fluency in written and verbal English
- Ability to work with experienced cross functional teams
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, including; Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Ability to independently anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
Desired qualifications:
- Experience with MSA / CSA modeling experience
- Experience in a Risk Management position supporting a Sales or Marketing function
- Knowledge of contract processes and proposals
- Demonstrated success in a project leadership role, with the ability to influence others in a highly matrixed environment
- Strong business acumen
