The Transformer Installation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the assembly of High Voltage Transformers in accordance with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols. This role requires strong leadership in managing assembly teams, including subcontractors, to ensure projects are completed on time and under budget. The Supervisor will also need to solve complex assembly problems and stay informed on product details, especially CHINT’s technical documentation, to ensure efficient and accurate installation. The ability to work under pressure and resolve issues swiftly is critical to success in this position.

Some of the key activities include (but are not limited to):

  • Supervise and coordinate high voltage transformers assembly teams, including internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all assembly processes meet company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Analyze factory test reports and perform all necessary electrical comissioning tests.
  • Represent the company and keep active communication with the final costumer regarding all on-site activities.
  • Troubleshoot and solve technical problems during the assembly process.
  • Study and apply technical specifications, product manuals, and technical data sheets, particularly those provided by CHINT.
  • Monitor the quality of installations and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Oversee subcontractor work and maintain strict adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members.
  • Ensure proper documentation of assembly processes and problem resolutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to continuously improve assembly practices.
  • Report assembly progress, challenges, and solutions to senior management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize assembly performance under tight deadlines and high-pressure conditions.


A successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in high voltage transformers assembly.
  • Strong understanding of transformer technology, assembly, vacuum and oil treatment processes, as well as technical specifications and industry standards (experience with CHINT products is a plus).
  • Knowledge and ability to perform all commissioning tests.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and product data sheets.
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards and protocols.
  • Availability to travel to assembly sites as needed.

Portuguese: Fluent or Native

English: Advanced or above
