Skate Program Supervisor - Ice in Paradise at The Sports Facilities Companies. Location: Goleta, CA. Department: Operations. Reports to: General Manager. Status: Part-time (Non-Exempt).

Ice in Paradise is a premier sport, recreation and entertainment destination focused on improving the health and economic vitality of Goleta, CA. Ice in Paradise is managed by Sports Facilities Management, LLC, a Sports Facilities Companies (SFC) company. SFC provides a collaborative culture focused on career growth and service excellence. Position Summary

The Skate Program Supervisor is responsible for all skate programming including group lessons, camps/clinics, teams, and additional programming options. This role creates a first-class skating experience for participants, instructors, officials, and spectators across all offerings.

Responsibilities
  • Directly align with the SFM Statement and Core Values
  • Execute all aspects of the skate program
  • Provide effective training, workflow structure, and leadership for the skate program
  • Effectively manage all aspects of the program/camp registration process
  • Create efficient purchasing/registration experience for all program participants
  • Develop class structures and schedules that support skater progression, skill development, and retention
  • Recruit, train, and mentor instructors to deliver high-quality instruction and exceptional guest service
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with skaters, families, and local skating organizations to foster a positive and inclusive skating community
  • Monitor program performance, enrollment trends, and participant feedback to assess effectiveness and implement improvements
  • Oversee the organization and execution of shows, exhibitions, and competitions, showcasing skater development and promoting the program
  • Ensure participants keep locker rooms neat and clean
  • Serve as Manager on Duty as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3-5 years in skate program management or related field is preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of figure skating levels and requirements
  • Must be a member in good standing with ISI and/or USFS
  • Knowledge of recreational/facility management software programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented attitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours)
  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist-high
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, and to squat, stoop or bend
  • May work in cold environments for extended periods
  • Will be required to operate a computer
  • Facility has intermittent noise

Salary: $20 - $25 per hour
