Responsibilities

• Enhance Wabtec product portfolio for the Global Freight market to propel product innovation and enhance market share, with the role based in Brazil.
• Secure the commercial introduction of innovation and new technologies for locomotive platforms in line with Wabtec's strategy and sustainability goals.
• Collaborate with customers, sales, and internal engineering teams to identify clear customer CTQs, create products that address CTQs, and differentiate the product from competition.
• Demonstrate excellent product and project management skills; interact professionally with global stakeholders (Wabtec senior management, key partners, major customers); present to leadership, customers, conferences, and government meetings.
• Track industry trends to keep products ahead of the curve and stay passionate about transportation/automation/energy technologies.

What do we want to know about you? Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology & Computer Science from an accredited university or college
• Solid experience in industry/product management (focus on product/project development, cost, and customer needs)
• Strong customer mindset and ability to understand commercial and product strategy
• Identifies and explores alternative solutions; translates customer requirements into product solutions
• Language: fluent English and understanding of Spanish
• Emotional intelligence, ability to influence up and out, and ability to work independently
• Drives for results; fosters team spirit and acts as a role model
• Ability to coordinate with teammates of various backgrounds, levels of seniority, and across geographies
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities; results-focused and highly organized
• Ability to structure complex information, plan, prioritize, delegate tasks, and deliver results
• Willingness and readiness to travel for work activities

• Know local RailRoad in Latam and experience in Rail business segment
• Experience in New Product Development and innovation projects
• Experience working in a matrix organization
• Creativity, strong interpersonal skills, and analytical abilities

• Skilled in breaking down problems and estimating efforts
• Ability to propose, analyze impact and recommend appropriate technology trade-offs
• Awareness of the competitive environment and its impact on the product

• Architect next-generation locomotive platforms that redefine industry sustainability standards
• Translate complex market insights into environmentally advanced technological solutions
• Articulate compelling narratives of technological and environmental transformation
• Work with cross-functional teams (sales, customer, process, engineering) to develop new products with differentiated value proposition
• Influence customers through credible knowledge, persuasion, and influencing skills
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Commercial teams, Supply Chain, and different Wabtec businesses to develop a comprehensive product development strategy
