The role

As part of the Customer Finance Team reporting to the Global Head of Customer Financing Solutions, you’ll have an opportunity to work on the “Go to Market” Strategic Plan and grow our customer finance program. To support the Strategic Plan, you will also be required to work with the business partners on dedicated financial service packages (3rd Party Bank Leasing and Internal Self Finance) to grow the Markem-Imaje offering and value proposition. You will be required to drive projects from the 3 Years Road Map that target to provide presales and post-sales support to our business. It involves business & process transformation that aim to drive revenue growth, efficiency and optimization of our programs that will embed governance and controls with strict adherence to our corporate policy.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with the business to deploy the “Go to Market” Strat Plan once it has been defined with the Head of Financial Services & the Business.
  • Drive business and process transformation projects in the 3 Years Road Map.
  • Provide presales support to our business and cross functions (Customer Care, Finance – FP&A & Controlling) within the company to assist them in serving our customers.
  • Educate and address all queries & concerns on the different customer finance options that our business, cross functions and customers may have.
  • Act as a facilitator by working with the business on the potential deals, provide them with the tools that they need to win the deals that addresses the customer’s specific need.
  • Create dedicated financial service package to support the sales process.
  • Attend customer meetings upon business request.
  • Provide training & support on the use of SalesForce to incorporate financing options into the quotes.
  • Provide Customer Care with support on how we handle the different financing options in the SAP for order processing.
  • Train & advice the Business, Customer Care & Finance on the process, accounting treatment of the different finance options.
  • Deal Structuring of MI Self Finance. Control of margins and breakeven point. Ensure that the deal meets the governance criteria, verify the rental classification, seek confirmation from Finance before obtaining approval from the Management.
  • Drive monthly business reviews. Provide monthly reporting on revenue & commission, project updates and share best practices.
  • Build and generate reports for Finance to ensure assets are properly booked, depreciated & accounted for.
  • Collaboration with Customer Care, Business & Finance to track the recovery of the printers at the end of the lease term and ensure proper disposal and accounting treatment.
  • Define, deploy, & document all processes and controls related to customer financing. Ensure global standardization and bridge any gaps. Ensure that our processes are aligned with Corporate Policies.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Chartered accountant, CPA or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in customer finance and project management.
  • Inherent training and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition, assets depreciation, cashflow, controls and compliance requirements.
  • Enhanced SAP knowledge, specifically in the FI, CO & SD module. Experience with SalesForce.
  • Proficient and Fluent in English (Written and Spoken).
  • Possess strong business acumen and negotiation skills. Proficient in customer finance, loan structuring & credit management.
  • Possess analytical skills to identify and propose appropriate business & customer financing solutions.
  • Team player with excellent organizational, communication & relationship management skills.
