Sony PlayStation LATAM, Commercial Manager

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for the Hardware, Software, Peripheral & PS Digital Business Categories for key account sales. This individual will be accountable for achieving sales targets, maximizing and improving retail space and locations, and handling administrative duties of the position. Will be a strategic member of a dynamic team focused on developing business and strengthening customer relationships. This position reports directly to the Commercial Director.

The Commercial Manager is preferred to have gaming industry experience and be familiar with competitive products, industry trends, and retail and e-commerce environments. The individual is passionate about moving the business forward and building and influencing both internal and external relationships. She/He will be the client's strategic partner and advisor, discovering new opportunities to work together for a mutual goal of sustaining and growing our business to achieve PlayStation success.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
  1. Achieve the weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly sales target.
  2. Work cross-functionally with functional areas.
  3. Support in the construction of commercial strategies to achieve business goals.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with Retailers to assist them in achieving business goals by successfully marketing products to consumers.
  5. Maximize the effectiveness of all PlayStation software, hardware, peripherals, and digital at retail launches by negotiating retail support at the point of sale and across all applicable advertising vehicles.
  6. Maintain ongoing relationships with distribution teams to coordinate additional floor and other retail space for displays, interactives, and promotional materials.
  7. Provide input into sales forecast and adjust sales plans to achieve PlayStation goals.
  8. Monitor and report on Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) and provide strategic guidance for future sales and marketing planning.
  9. Development of comprehensive retail activity and promotional calendars tailored to each retail account.
  10. Maintain consistently healthy retail inventory levels to maximize sales opportunities.
  11. Conduct weekly analyses of sell-thru and other market/account data and present strategic recommendations based on that analysis.
  12. Implement & evaluate effective Retail Marketing campaigns.
  13. Maintain excellent trade relations and customer support for our brands through effective execution of brand strategy in combination with a complete understanding of the customer’s unique needs and the marketplace conditions.
  14. Preparation and consolidation of weekly and monthly reporting packages with sell-in, sell-thru, market share data, pricing information, and competitive and market analysis of the assigned accounts.
  15. Conduct consistent meetings with each retail buyer to ensure maximization of sales.
  16. Collaborate actively with the PlayStation Trade/Channel Marketing team and the Retail Marcom team to ensure proper implementation of all plans and initiatives.
Requirements:
  1. 6+ years experience in sales and management, preferably in consumer electronics or a related field.
  2. Undergraduate sales, marketing, or communication degree required, or equivalent related experience.
  3. Strong general knowledge of merchandising, branding, sales analysis, and retail advertising.
  4. Creative and energetic teammate who embraces change and continually desires to improve.
  5. Resourceful in finding solutions to business problems.
  6. Solid ability to execute the strategic vision with a keen sense of activating tactical initiatives simultaneously.
  7. Innate ability to understand and articulate market performance and analyze and develop optimized business solutions, including tailored promotions and campaigns.
  8. Strong communication skills with a proactive attitude.
  9. Delivery focused. Forward-thinking and proven experience in planning, collaborating, negotiating, and coming to an optimal business solution.
  10. Work across teams and get great results.
  11. Advanced English.
