Senior Commercial Manager

About the Role
The Senior Commercial Manager will be part of the Marketing & Sales team responsible for securing commercial opportunities across the business. The role will be accountable to strategically achieve sponsorship revenue within each Commercial Cycle for each of the CONMEBOL Tournaments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build a solid pipeline of potential partners, focused on the following markets: Brazil and open opportunities across all industries/sectors.
- Develop strong sales strategy skills to assist Head of Marketing and Sales and colleagues with sales strategy development by cycle.
- Assist in development of commercial concepts for sponsorship and licensing to generate revenue.
- Leverage personal and professional network to access a variety of influencers and decision makers.
- Work on renewal of current partners for following cycle.
- Create sales projections and oversee the work to ensure these projections are achieved.
- Work with the Digital, Media and Operational teams to develop new assets.
- Create solutions for strategic partners to maximise their global audiences and ROI.
- Creation of a sponsorship sales guidelines and help develop their after-sales process to ensure ROI for all parties.
- Provide a consultative sales approach ensuring trust and integrity are paramount factors in partnership development.
- Support line manager and colleagues on global deals for brands that come outside South America.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in related sector.
- Leadership – must be able to manage and work as a team.
- Must be able to work under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Must be commercially focused with a drive to exceed revenue targets and create new sales opportunities.
- Must understand and be familiar with the Digital, Media and new content business.
- At least 3 years of experience in the sports/entertainment business, or in business development, media Business, Commercial & Sales and/or online media environment.
- Strong understanding of how brands think and what assets will be most attractive to them.
- An excellent communicator and accomplished presenter.
- Native fluency in Spanish with a strong command/fluency of English.
- Regular travel is envisaged to meet clients and to matches.
- Understanding of South American football market and its competitions, as well as connections with advertisers in the region.
- Strong understanding and experience in negotiating complex, customized partnerships.

FC Diez Media holds responsibility for all global media rights sales and commercial consultancy across CONMEBOL Libertadores, Sudamericana and Recopa competitions, ranging from game presentation and competition formats to brand development and digital promotion. We were established at the start of 2018 and our goal is to elevate the CONMEBOL club competition products to world class standards and transform the digital experience for a global South American football audience.
