Overview We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sports Journalist to cover live events, write compelling stories, and deliver timely, accurate, and engaging content across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports writing, a keen eye for newsworthy angles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities Cover live sporting events, press conferences, and interviews. Write news articles, feature stories and match reports. Conduct interviews with athletes, coaches, and other sports figures. Monitor sports news, trends, and statistics to pitch and develop story ideas. Collaborate with editors, photographers, and multimedia teams. Maintain an active presence on social media to engage with readers and promote content. Ensure accuracy, fairness, and clarity in all reporting. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. Proven experience in sports reporting or journalism. Excellent writing, editing, and research skills (Portuguese and English). Strong understanding of a variety of sports, rules, especially in Volleyball and Soccer. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), SEO, and digital publishing tools is a plus. Strong ethical standards and journalistic integrity. This position should be based in Minas Gerais State.
