We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable
Sports Journalist
to cover live events, write compelling stories, and deliver timely, accurate, and engaging content across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports writing, a keen eye for newsworthy angles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Cover live sporting events, press conferences, and interviews.
  • Write news articles, feature stories and match reports.
  • Conduct interviews with athletes, coaches, and other sports figures.
  • Monitor sports news, trends, and statistics to pitch and develop story ideas.
  • Collaborate with editors, photographers, and multimedia teams.
  • Maintain an active presence on social media to engage with readers and promote content.
  • Ensure accuracy, fairness, and clarity in all reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism.
  • Proven experience in sports reporting or journalism.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and research skills (Portuguese and English).
  • Strong understanding of a variety of sports, rules, specially in Volleyball and Soccer.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), SEO, and digital publishing tools is a plus.
  • Strong ethical standards and journalistic integrity.
  • This position should be based on Minas Gerais State.
