Job Title: Strategic Business Development Lead Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Business Development Lead to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for building strong strategic business relationships with decision-makers of software companies, M&A advisors, and private equity/venture capital professionals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in autonomous BD roles or outside professional experience, including 3+ years in Business Development/Sales at a software company or client-facing M&A/finance role. Your primary objective will be to develop and manage an M&A pipeline through Salesforce CRM and create market maps to build strong relationships in assigned software industry verticals. You will also be responsible for meeting and exceeding monthly M&A targets, such as meaningful contacts and measurable KPIs. To achieve this, you will work closely with M&A leadership to qualify M&A opportunities efficiently and ensure accurate lead database allocation within portfolio verticals. Additionally, you will effectively qualify top-end opportunities for Portfolio Managers. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage an M&A pipeline through Salesforce CRM and create market maps to build strong relationships in assigned software industry verticals. Meet and exceed monthly M&A targets, such as meaningful contacts and measurable KPIs. Work autonomously and with M&A leadership to qualify M&A opportunities efficiently. Ensure accurate lead database allocation within portfolio verticals. Effectively qualify top-end opportunities for Portfolio Managers. Requirements: 3+ years in Business Development/Sales at a software company or client-facing M&A/finance role. A clear interest in developing long-term relationships as a career trajectory. Previous success in autonomous BD roles or outside professional experience (entrepreneurship). Advanced verbal and written communication skills for CEO and executive interactions. Organized, detail-oriented, and variable hours. Extraordinary work ethic, proactive, and urgency-driven. This role requires occasional in-person travel, primarily remote work.
