Job Summary The role of Helpdesk Engineer is a pivotal position within our organization, focusing on the implementation and maintenance of IT operations. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support to end users, ensuring seamless operation of computer systems, network devices, and printers. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues for end-users, maintaining and updating technical documentation as necessary. Manage assets, maintain inventory, and collaborate with vendors to ensure effective workflow. Oversee office network infrastructure, including monitoring and maintenance of IT security and antivirus tools. Additional duties include first-level troubleshooting and support for scheduled server backups, system monitoring, and reports. Required Skills and Qualifications Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience operating in a similar capacity. In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows and macOS). Understanding of TCP/IP, IP addressing, and LAN technology fundamentals. Hands-on experience in Windows server administration and basic knowledge of Linux server administration are highly regarded. Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified/CCNA are advantageous. Proficiency in setting up and configuring Cisco devices such as firewalls, switches, IP phones, wireless controllers, and access points. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with ability to document standard operating procedures and knowledge articles effectively. Flexibility to cover after-hours and weekend support as required. Enthusiasm and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment, with a passion for IT technology and commitment to making a positive impact. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively at all levels.
