Downtown Artist & Label Services offers distribution, bespoke marketing solutions, and funding to entrepreneurial artists and their partners, ranging from emerging talent at the forefront of pop culture to the most storied managers and record labels. Downtown Music is owned and operated by Downtown Music Holdings. Downtown allows artists and their partners to achieve the same commercial success on digital sales and streaming platforms that they would expect of a major record label, without sacrificing any ownership in their works, control over their strategy, or their creative vision. 

Downtown Artist & Label Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Manager, Marketing (Brazil). In this role, you will work closely with the General Manager, Brazil to develop marketing plans, initiatives and activations with Brazil based artists. You will report on campaigns, produce insights, and support sales in closing deals. You must have a deep understanding of emerging and established streaming and social platforms, and a local network of music marketing services & operators (digital advertising, press, social media marketing, etc). Additionally, have excellent communication skills both in English & Portuguese, with experience of building and maintaining internal and external relationships as well as writing pitches and combining multiple elements of a campaign into an artists' cohesive story.

 This remote position will be based in São Paulo, and/or the surrounding areas.

What you'll do: 

- Secure premiere positioning for artists and releases with DSPs

- Responsible for cultivating and strengthening relationships with key editorial, marketing and label relations teams at streaming services in the region. Including Media, Promoters, Agents, etc..

- Contributes to the overall digital release strategy as it pertains to DSPs/streaming 

- Liaise with international territories for localized campaign strategy

- Collaborates with Marketing & Account Management teams to execute successful artist campaigns across the DSP spectrum

- Communicate streaming, play-listing and digital sales and streaming results throughout the DMS organization

- Prepare reports and key-results for priority campaigns

- Seize opportunities to reactivate catalog associated with new releases

- Deliver exclusives and successful streaming campaign performance for new releases and catalog

- Being aware of changes and developments in the music market, with particular emphasis on competitor activity

- Create, execute and track creative marketing plans for artists and labels

- Use data analytics to analyze, track and improve artist performance results

- Work collaboratively for growth of A&LS market share and client base across the Brazil region including being involved with pitching to potential customer

- Representing Downtown in the Brazil industry, including attending gigs, conferences and spreading the word

You are / have: 

- Fluent English/Portuguese is mandatory. Spanish is a plus

- Minimum of 5 years experience working within a label, artist management or music distribution company

- Passionate and knowledgeable about Brazilian music and culture

- Excellent client service and relationship-building capability – always with a professional and confident demeanor

- A strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, and experience in coordinating with streaming and audience engagement platforms, labels, managers and artists on campaigns

- A solid network of industry-specific connections, including key contacts at digital music services

- Broad knowledge of the digital landscape and consumer trends

- Experience with working across different time zones, and communicating across multiple organizational levels

- Ability to work creatively and collaboratively

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that illustrate organization and attention to detail.
