Overview

The Global Corporate Banking Business Manager will serve as a strategic partner to the Head of Latin America Subsidiary Banking and the regional leadership team. This role will lead end-to-end business management for a diverse portfolio of multinational subsidiary clients, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic priorities, financial objectives, and risk appetite. The VP will drive business performance, financial discipline, strategic initiatives, and operational excellence across multiple countries and product lines, collaborating with senior stakeholders in Coverage, Credit, Product, Finance, and Control functions.

Responsibilities

• Business Strategy & Planning – Partner with regional and country leadership to define and execute the Subsidiary Banking growth strategy in Latin America, aligned with global corporate banking objectives.
• Financial & Performance Management – Own financial oversight for the Subsidiary Banking portfolio, including P&L management, balance sheet optimization, revenue tracking, and expense discipline. Monitor balances, ROE, capital usage (RWA), liquidity deployment, and cost allocation, ensuring profitability targets are met. Build and maintain KPI dashboards to track banker productivity, client coverage effectiveness, and product penetration.
• Client & Product Partnership – Partner with Coverage Bankers and Product Partners (Payments, Markets, Credit, Trade, and Liquidity) to deepen relationships with existing clients and capture new business opportunities. Support client segmentation, prioritization, and pipeline reviews to ensure focus on high-potential, strategic accounts. Ensure seamless execution of multi-product, cross-border deals by coordinating between local and global teams.
• Risk & Control – Maintain strong oversight on credit risk, operational risk, and compliance matters impacting the Subsidiary Banking business. Coordinate with Credit and Risk teams to align risk appetite with business growth objectives. Ensure adherence to internal policies, control frameworks, and regulatory requirements in all jurisdictions.
• Operational Excellence & Governance – Lead governance routines, including business reviews, pipeline calls, budget meetings, and senior leadership updates. Drive efficiency through process improvements, automation of reporting, and enhanced data analytics. Serve as the central point of coordination for audits, regulatory reviews, and internal controls assessments.
• Stakeholder Management – Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and interface with regional and global stakeholders including Finance, Strategy, Credit, Legal, Compliance, and Operations. Partner with country business managers to ensure consistent execution and alignment of strategy across all Latin American markets.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills

• MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in Corporate Banking, Business Management, or Strategy roles, preferably in a multinational financial institution.
• Strong understanding of corporate banking products (lending, liquidity, payments, markets, and trade finance).
• Proven experience in financial analysis, capital management, and profitability metrics.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence across multiple seniority levels and geographies.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Fluency in English required.
