
Senior Business Manager for Latin America Subsidiary Banking

The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to the Head of Latin America Subsidiary Banking and the regional leadership team. This role will lead end-to-end business management for a diverse portfolio of multinational subsidiary clients, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic priorities, financial objectives, and risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities- Business Strategy & Planning – Partner with regional and country leadership to define and execute the Subsidiary Banking growth strategy in Latin America, aligned with global corporate banking objectives.
- Financial & Performance Management – Own financial oversight for the Subsidiary Banking portfolio, including P&L management, balance sheet optimization, revenue tracking, and expense discipline. Monitor balances, ROE, capital usage (RWA), liquidity deployment, and cost allocation, ensuring profitability targets are met.
- Client & Product Partnership – Partner with Coverage Bankers and Product Partners to deepen relationships with existing clients and capture new business opportunities. Support client segmentation, prioritization, and pipeline reviews to ensure focus on high-potential, strategic accounts.
- Risk & Control – Maintain strong oversight on credit risk, operational risk, and compliance matters impacting the Subsidiary Banking business. Coordinate with Credit and Risk teams to align risk appetite with business growth objectives.
- Operational Excellence & Governance – Lead governance routines, including business reviews, pipeline calls, budget meetings, and senior leadership updates. Drive efficiency through process improvements, automation of reporting, and enhanced data analytics.
- Stakeholder Management – Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and interface with regional and global stakeholders.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Corporate Banking, Business Management, or Strategy roles, preferably in a multinational financial institution.
- Strong understanding of corporate banking products.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, capital management, and profitability metrics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence across multiple seniority levels and geographies.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset and ability to balance growth with risk.
- High level of financial acumen and comfort with P&L ownership.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for senior audiences.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Spanish and/or Portuguese strongly.
