Join our team

As an XTS Design Engineer, you will work in a team to develop and support products within the Technology and Projects groups. You will perform scientific and engineering efforts related to the design of new products and services, as well as new designs for customer projects. You will deliver projects through the stages of design, verification, manufacturing, and, if necessary, commercialization.

As XTS Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading cost-out and trade-off exercises using lean and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Involving different engineering and manufacturing teams to reach optimal outputs for products in terms of cost and manufacturability.
  • Promoting good communication across different stakeholders, manufacturing, and engineering disciplines.
  • Working collaboratively with a global engineering community.
  • Communicating with the team in both Portuguese and English.
  • Developing project deliverables, such as manufacturing drawings, 3D models, schematics, P&IDs, procedures, reports, etc.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or other Engineering disciplines.
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English or at least intermediate proficiency.
  • Have experience with subsea project/product engineering, with emphasis on pre-salt and deepwater Christmas Tree systems.
  • Possess a Christmas Tree engineering background for subsea equipment. Knowledge of Vertical and Horizontal Christmas Trees, Tubing Head Spools, Tubing Hangers, and Christmas Tree Tooling sets is desired.
  • Have a manufacturing and cost-driven mindset.
  • Be proactive and engaged in daily tasks.

Desirable

  • Experience with engineering database setup and configuration (SAP or Team Center).
  • Skills in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks, Visio, MSP.
