**Technical Sales Specialist, Agribusiness**

**Location/Division Specific Information**

The Genetic Sciences Division (GSX) is a $3B business with 1100+ employees across the globe. GSD provides high value genomic information to assist critical decisions in research and applied markets, including Basic Research, Clinical Research, Diagnostics, Forensics and Agribusiness.

**How will you make an impact?**

You will concentrate on growing revenue across the genetic analysis portfolio within the designated Agribusiness territory by direct laboratory to laboratory sales activities. The sales portfolio includes instruments and consumables for capillary electrophoresis, qPCR, PCR, ELISA and Microarray. Accounts are in the Agribusiness segment and include Animal Health diagnostics as well as Agrigenomics. (Veterinary Diagnostic Labs, State and Federal Government, Livestock Producers, plant and animal breeders, seed companies, genetic consortia etc )

**What will you do?**
- Expands the GSD share of wallet and value. This individual will capitalize on local marketing innovations to expand programs within their territory. They will provide internal partners with business planning and development consulting to meet revenue goals.
- This individual provides foundational technical guidance and customer training.
- Reviews marketing campaigns and plans to ensure accurate positioning and description of our products.
- Uses the tools, processes and operational resources to improve and advance direct and indirect sales. Collaboratively monitors and influences partner sales pipeline. Champions innovations that improve partner pipeline management.
- Collaborates effectively with partners across Thermo Fisher to acquire sponsorship and support, resolve issues and expedite selling. Expands internal networks, contacts and relationships to maintain selling efficiency.

**How will you get here?**

**Education**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Animal Science or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and experience. A Master’s or PhD degree is desirable.

**Experience**
- Extensive knowledge of molecular technologies required. Knowledge of accounts in territory is helpful.
- Knowledge of other Genetic platforms valued.

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
- Must have accomplished sales skills, be able to speak to competitive technologies and demonstrate value as a supporting partner in the pre-sales process while also independently driving sales to meet sales targets.
- This position is remote and at least 50% travel is required
- Reside near a major city/airport in Brazil
- People with outstanding influencing skills and excellent sales abilities to get results through others. We excel at working effectively across teams.
