Functional Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist who is enthusiastic about providing holistic functional rehabilitation in real-life settings, such as homes, schools, workplaces, and communities. Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating patients and developing comprehensive treatment plans
  • Regularly reassessing treatment plans and attending staffing meetings and family conferences
  • Conducting discharge evaluations, making recommendations for home and community safety, and providing referral resources
  • Communicating patient progress to the treatment team, physician, and family members
  • Collaborating with other disciplines to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications

Requirements include:

  • A bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current, unrestricted licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • A minimum of one year's experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Demonstrated knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological diagnoses (preferred)
  • Effective communication and professional interaction skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical duties safely
