Global IT Operations Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled IT professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT-related areas, with previous experience or technical courses in the field.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing remote support and assistance through tool utilization, answering user tickets related to hardware and/or software issues, guiding users about IT processes, installing and configuring new IT equipment in Data Centers, production lines, and offices, engaging Global IT support teams according to incident priority, and monitoring IT environment availability using monitoring tools.
Additionally, the candidate will be required to engage GM's internal teams for eventual infrastructure problems and provision of utilities to the IT environment, complete ticket, incident, problem, asset management tools, following standards determined by the IT area, and possess solid knowledge for hardware technical support (desktops, laptops, scanners, printers, data collectors, terminals, tablets, cell phones).
Required skills and qualifications include higher education, preferably in IT-related areas, previous experience or technical courses in the IT area, solid knowledge for hardware technical support, experience in managing IT incidents using monitoring tools, English communication skills (intermediate level) to engage and schedule global support teams, availability to work in other shifts and/or remain on duty outside of business hours, interpersonal relationship, communication capacity, and problem-solving ability.
Desirable skills and qualifications include general knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server and Linux), general knowledge of database (Oracle and SQL), general knowledge of IT infrastructure equipment (servers, storages, backup units, routers, switches, APs, fixed telephony, UPS's), experience in managing IT assets, general knowledge of LAN technical support (experience with Cisco devices), general knowledge of BigFix and ePO security tools, knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS), knowledge of Cimplicity or other SCADA systems, and general knowledge of radio communication.
Certifications in ITIL and CCENT would be an advantage.
