Global Pharmaceutical Protection Expert

The Associate Director, Global Brand Protection works in conjunction with the Senior Director of Global Brand Protection and others to build and execute a product integrity program. The Associate Director will assess company needs, including those within countries with heightened risk of counterfeiting, diversion, and theft. Strategies and plans are developed to mitigate risks to brands, business objectives, and patients.
This position is responsible for building partnerships across various business functions, including Commercial, New Market Development, Workplace Services, Legal, Quality Assurance, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, HR, IT, and other key stakeholders. Investigations monitor the illegitimate pharmaceutical supply chain to identify and prevent illicit activity. Allegations of counterfeiting, diversion, theft, and resultant IP violations are investigated from intake through disposition, coordinating with internal stakeholders in QA, Legal, and other departments.
Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to implement anti-counterfeiting and anti-diversion techniques/programs, brand protection risk assessment processes, investigative case management policies, anti-counterfeiting technology assessments, on-line risk monitoring, and suspect product analysis. Assist in identifying and protecting commercial and clinical conveyances in the LATAM region. Participate in cargo security industry organizations and create and maintain strong positive relationships with key internal partners.
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher is required, with fluency in English and Spanish necessary. Fluency in other languages, including Portuguese, is highly preferred.
- 8+ years of business experience working in pharmaceutical/life sciences or like industries is required, preferably within Security, Legal, Supply Chain, Logistics, QA, or related functions.
