Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Intermediate Process Engineer to support the design of new nuclear power plants and the operation and refurbishment of existing CANDU nuclear power plants.
This role will involve providing design solutions and assessments for new, updated, and modified process systems, structures, and components.
- Design solutions for process systems, structures, and components.
- Perform analysis and assessments of hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineers at lower grade levels and/or other technical employees.
- Ensure adherence to quality program and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review design documents, including calculations, specifications, drawings, and bill of materials.
Key Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related field.
- 3-10 years of experience in process-system design/analysis, preferably with experience in CANDU nuclear power plants or BWR/PWR markets.
- Strong technical knowledge of all aspects encompassing CANDU nuclear processes, analyses, equipment, and control.
- Experience performing heat balance and thermohydraulic evaluations.
- Knowledge of analytical tools used for mechanical and process design.
