Behavioral Health Contracting Expert

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Contracting Expert to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading negotiations with behavioral health professionals, designing and executing special arrangement contracts, and collaborating with other specialists to manage budgeting and reporting.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to analyze utilization trends and make recommendations to optimize contract terms. You will also evaluate potential special arrangements using unit-cost modeling and present your findings to leadership.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of contract proposals, from preparation and presentation to negotiation and execution. This includes maintaining accurate documentation and approvals in SharePoint for all special arrangements.

Our ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of managed care experience, including direct involvement with provider incentive and risk-sharing programs. They will also have a strong background in contract development and negotiation, as well as experience with provider and hospital contracting in the NY/NJ or New England markets.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Healthcare, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree)
  • Minimum 7 years of managed care experience
  • Strong background in contract development and negotiation
  • Experience with provider and hospital contracting in the NY/NJ or New England markets
