Lead Risk Manager

We are looking for a Lead Risk Manager to identify, quantify and manage liquidity risk. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with stakeholders to assess and oversee risk-taking activities.

About the Role:
  • Developing standards for managing liquidity risk, including risk appetite, balance sheet management, funding plans and responses to regulatory changes
  • Creating and maintaining risk management policies, procedures, limits, stress testing capabilities and reporting infrastructure
  • Engaging with first-line businesses to identify, monitor and govern emerging liquidity risks, including new product assessments
  • Implementing and delivering financial reports
  • Modeling liquidity risks under various stress scenarios with appropriate assumptions and calibrations
  • Monitoring liquidity risk exposures versus established limits (internal and regulatory)
  • Investigating risk events and producing related reports
  • Establishing relationships with stakeholders to enforce risk management frameworks and provide effective challenge

About You:

  • Previous experience in liquidity risk management
  • Expertise in liquidity risk issues and methodologies, balance sheet dynamics and income statements
  • An understanding of financial products and key liquidity risk drivers
  • Knowledge of risk-related regulations and their application/impact in the financial industry
  • Experience implementing and delivering liquidity reports
  • An understanding of stress testing methodologies and model development, implementation and governance
  • The ability to analyze complex problems and drive change
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
