Senior Project Manager Job Description

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on energy projects and sustainability efforts in the environmental consulting and engineering industry.

  • Manage environmental, siting, planning, and permitting for energy projects.
  • Direct and oversee energy facility siting/routing, permitting, and environmental field surveys.
  • Prepare resource studies and permit applications for energy project permitting.
  • Represent clients before regulatory agencies and public meetings.
  • Mentor junior staff and oversee project budgets and forecasts.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in an environmental program with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and coordinate effectively within a team.
  • Proficiency in researching and interpreting federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license in good standing and ability to pass a DMV check.
Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 15 to 20+ years of directly applicable work experience in energy projects.
  • Established client relationships and a proven track record in the energy market.
  • Experience working with agencies like the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple components.
  • Familiarity with environmental, regulatory, and land use agencies.
