Highway Transportation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled transportation professional to work on various transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing transportation geometry, preparing highway occupancy permits, and creating cross section and grading plans.
Main Responsibilities:- Collaborate with internal staff for field work, design calculations, plan preparation, quantity calculations, and submissions to clients
- Design and implement transportation geometry, prepare and submit highway occupancy permits, create cross section and grading plans
- Evaluate and control erosion and sediment impacts
- Analyze hydrology and drainage data
- Plan and design water and sanitary sewer utility layouts and geometries
- Familiarity with PennDOT and Pa Turnpike design guidelines and regulations
- Able to plan and execute all phases of an engineering design project
- Proficient use of MicroStation software
- Affordable and efficient use of engineering tools
- Possession of EIT certification and PE license is highly valued
- Able to work independently to resolve complex engineering design issues and justify the solutions
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Proactive approach to improving work products and taking ownership
