We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing highway projects from concept to completion.

Job Description:
  • This is a full-time position that will be based in one of our offices located in Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities:
  • Work as a key member of a highway/roadway design team for moderate to large projects, and work independently on smaller projects.
  • Prepare or oversee the following roadway/highway design work using local or AASHTO standards: horizontal and vertical alignments, roadway sections, intersection layouts and sight distance determinations, interchange layouts, right-of-way plans.
  • Assist in the management of larger projects or manage smaller projects including preparation of scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Manage day-to-day communication (verbal and written) with the design team and client, support and advise junior engineers and technical staff, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with subconsultants, keep project on schedule and within budget, and keep client satisfied.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of transportation engineering design experience required.
  • Experience working on PennDOT / PTC projects.
  • Experience working on Design-Build projects a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work concurrently with multiple design teams, and leadership and management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
  • Hands-on experience with Highways and Roads CAD engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d.
  • MS Office knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Benefits:
  • We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
