Compensation Director Role

This role is for a strategic leader who will oversee the company's compensation operations, develop and direct compensation strategies, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage compensation enablement team to drive results across the corporation.
  • Develop comprehensive compensation strategies and programs to achieve business goals and stay competitive in the labor market.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to evaluate and enhance the company's competitive position from a compensation perspective, identify strategies to improve recruitment and retention, and ensure alignment of compensation objectives, policies, and practices with the company's rewards philosophy.
  • Investigate and resolve complex and sensitive compensation issues raised by senior management or escalated from staff.
  • Oversee integration of compensation programs and processes during acquisitions.
  • Provide leadership for the company's rewards and recognition philosophy and tools.
  • Partner with HR team on significant job and market evaluation projects.
  • Design, implement, communicate, and evaluate short-term incentive and bonus plans to motivate and reward employees.
  • Select and manage department staff, set performance standards, conduct performance reviews, and make salary decisions.
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Human Resources Management, Accounting, or a related discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role; OR 14 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS degree with 8+ years of experience in a related discipline; or Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience in a related discipline.
  • Experience in telecommunications or media.
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification.
