Senior Program Manager, Technical Partnerships for Prime Video

Position Overview
We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to enhance the growth of Prime Video by engaging with partners in consumer electronics and software for living room devices.
Key Responsibilities
You will oversee all technical dimensions of Prime Video's collaborations with device partners in Latin America. Successful candidates will possess experience in managing third-party partnerships, showcasing exceptional relationship management skills, and demonstrating the technical acumen to communicate requirements effectively.
Due to the focus on LATAM partners, proficiency in Portuguese and Spanish (both written and spoken) is preferred.
Your Objectives
Your primary goals will include managing engineering deliverables, ensuring partner alignment with the Prime Video product roadmap, and collaborating with the Business Development and Partner Marketing teams to drive customer growth and engagement.
In essence, you will serve as the vital link between business and technology, managing technical relationships with both internal and external Prime Video partners. You will act as the main point of contact between our external OEM partners and our technical teams, supporting integrations, conducting technical due diligence on new platforms, and providing recommendations for partners' future roadmaps.
Additionally, you will identify emerging trends in the LATAM OTT and CE marketplace, supporting the engineering aspects of our global partnerships, enhancing partner performance, and ensuring that our LATAM customers enjoy a superior experience on their devices.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
A successful TPM will work effectively with geographically dispersed teams and embrace flexible working hours, as travel may be necessary. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building strong technical relationships with third-party partners, assessing requirements, and recommending technical solutions.
- Conducting pre-project discovery and scoping to gather product and roadmap information, collaborating with engineering teams to create detailed integration plans.
- Advising Prime Video leadership on vetting third-party technology platforms and capabilities to ensure successful engagements.
- Managing relationships with third-party partners throughout the business development, qualification, and technical implementation phases.
- Coordinating post-launch activities, focusing on technical aspects to enhance engagement and resolve third-party issues.
- Refining the technical engagement process related to integration and distribution.
- Exploring new technologies for Prime Video distribution and identifying potential partners.
- Balancing long-term interests with day-to-day tactical needs.
- Collaborating closely with product, software development, and technical program management teams to ensure the technical needs of third-party partners are met.
- Enhancing customer experience and engagement through technical improvements with our LATAM partners.
- Implementing process enhancements in third-party qualification and integration.
About the Team
The Partner Engineering team is dedicated to driving the Prime Video and Prime flywheels through efficient partnerships, supporting third parties throughout the process of launching and maintaining Prime Video on their living room devices. This role presents unique challenges, as third-party living room devices are more fragmented than mobile devices and require specific chipset integrations.
We deliver the Prime Video client on various platforms, including smart TVs, streaming media players, game consoles, and set-top boxes, while working with partners to drive additional engagement through features like federated search and billing integration.
