General Foreman

This is a leadership role based on-site in the UAE, requiring relocation.

About the Job

The General Foreman leads multiple structural work zones from formwork and concrete to steel and blockwork. They oversee a team of Senior Foremen ensuring all structural activities are planned, resourced, executed, and handed over to the highest technical and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support Foremen in managing labor and tradesmen across all structural work fronts.
  • Interpret structural drawings and ensure accurate site setup and execution.
  • Plan resources effectively and manage site access, logistics, and emergency readiness.
  • Ensure timely procurement and correct usage of construction materials and plant.
  • Enforce safety policies, ensuring work is carried out using proper PPE and safety procedures.
  • Manage heavy equipment and ensure only qualified operators handle machinery.
  • Coordinate across structural teams including carpentry, steel, rebar, blockwork, and concrete.
  • Drive productivity initiatives, ensuring teams work at optimal efficiency.
  • Lead by example, coach site teams, and identify upskilling needs for unskilled labor.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, carry out quality audits, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support environmental management before, during, and after construction phases.
  • Oversee the structural handover process with complete documentation and quality verification.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience in construction or related field.
  • Strong understanding of structural processes and methods.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Able to enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional teams.
