Job Overview

The Collections Manager plays a pivotal role in spearheading the day-to-day activities of collection teams, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional performance.

  • Responsible for overseeing a $50M trade accounts receivable portfolio across NA Institutional divisions, driving end-to-end OTC process execution and fostering collaborative relationships with business leaders.
  • Leads high-risk customer management, controlling credit exposure and extension while upholding policy compliance.
  • Guides a team of associates, holding them accountable for accelerating collections, minimizing AR aging, adhering to invoice terms, and enhancing portfolio health.
  • Credit policy enforcement and monitoring AR portfolios to address issues, accelerate cash flow, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Provides key performance indicators (KPIs), commentary, and analysis for senior finance leadership, division management, and internal/external/SOX auditors.
  • Collaborates with Divisional finance and sales management on critical credit matters, portfolio trends, and balance sheet planning.
  • Leads special projects affecting Credit and Collections, including integrations, divestitures, system upgrades, audits, and policy harmonization.
  • Works closely with Order-to-Cash functional leadership, project deployment leaders, and IT on business or system issues and process improvement initiatives.
  • Trains and develops high-performing teams while promoting standardization and continuous improvement.
  • Fosters cross-functional collaboration with support functions like credit ops and dispute mgt to ensure service delivery and support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 10 years of combined experience in accounting, finance, or credit management
  • Demonstrated experience in leading high-performing teams, driving results-oriented teams with a sense of urgency, quality focus, and commitment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects in a finance environment, driving strategic initiatives in a cross-functional setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand global business goals and develop an in-depth vision to support these objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to converse at all levels internally and externally.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in at least one regional language.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, lead process change, and drive organizational growth.
