Job Description

As a key member of our maintenance team, the Handyman plays a vital role in ensuring our guests enjoy a comfortable and well-maintained environment. This includes supporting our team members in delivering excellence through effective guest service and technical maintenance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Experience & Service
    • Engage warmly with guests, demonstrating a welcoming culture that aligns with our hotel's values.
    • Respond promptly to maintenance requests through our digital platform.
    • Maintain guest room readiness by conducting regular preventative maintenance checks.
    • Ensure minimal disruption to the guest experience when conducting repairs or maintenance.
    • Proactively identify and address potential maintenance issues before they impact guest satisfaction.
  • Technical Maintenance
    • Monitor and manage daily tasks through our digital platform, prioritizing based on guest impact and urgency.
    • Perform preventative maintenance on all hotel systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, furniture, and fixtures.
    • Execute painting and general repairs throughout the property, maintaining a high standard of quality.
    • Maintain landscaping and grounds in collaboration with external service providers.
    • Monitor and report on contractor work quality and compliance with service level agreements.
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
    • Ensure proper storage and handling of tools, materials, and chemicals.
    • Conduct regular safety checks on equipment and facilities, identifying potential hazards and addressing them promptly.
    • Monitor water quality and pressure systems, implementing measures to prevent Legionella bacteria growth.
    • Implement energy-saving practices across the property, reducing our environmental footprint.
  • Resource Management
    • Maintain optimal inventory levels of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring we have everything needed to complete tasks efficiently.
    • Process maintenance requests through our digital platform, minimizing delays and maximizing guest satisfaction.
    • Submit and track purchase requests for required materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
    • Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment, extending their lifespan and reducing waste.
    • Practice cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards, driving value for our guests and the business.
