Lead Manufacturing Professional

The Head of Engineering will be based at our global manufacturing site in Boksburg and report to the Manufacturing Director. They will contribute strategically and practically to the overall continuous improvement of daily engineering and maintenance, implement and maintain a best-in-class manufacturing operation, and lead and contribute to projects identification, development, and implementation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement an engineering and maintenance strategy to stay at the forefront of latest technology developments and continuously improve.
  • Lead the procurement of equipment that facilitates efficient and reliable high-tech operations.
  • Manage maintenance operations to ensure equipment is maintained preventatively and operated to last long.
  • Implement expansion projects for future products and scalability of existing operations to enable manufacture to order for 195 countries.
  • Implement and maintain a robust maintenance management system.
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities within teams.
  • Ensure compliance of engineering and maintenance departments with company policies relating to health & safety and quality management.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a technical management role in a FMCG environment.
  • Exceptional organisational & leadership skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and action-oriented collaborative style.
