Portfolio Manager Role

This is a critical position in managing and growing a portfolio of clients across various geographic territories. The successful candidate will build and maintain relationships with clients, optimize the portfolio through the use of lines of credit, identify and mitigate pre-default account risk, and support post-default collections on defaulted accounts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Orient each client's use of the line of credit within an assigned portfolio, serving as a subject matter expert to their clients.
  • Achieve goals and performance targets by regularly engaging with clients and collaborating with internal partners to drive revenue and maximize profitability.
  • Educate clients on desired performance behaviors, self-service options, and best practices, and coach them to ensure compliance with company policies and expectations.
  • Collect and analyze client financial information and reports to assess and monitor dealer performance and address any issues to drive growth and manage risk.
  • Utilize historical data and tools to identify opportunities for growth and determine clients experiencing financial distress.
  • Collaborate with Risk and Recovery department to mitigate pre-default risk and collect on defaulted accounts within specified timeframes, minimizing loss and maximizing recovery.
  • Perform physical inspections of inventory and audits, ensuring quality control, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Serve as a fiduciary for the company, identifying and reporting any material non-compliance or attempted fraud that may require identification and reporting to protect the company.
  • Operate with the highest level of integrity, striving to achieve the best outcome for both clients and the company.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of related experience in finance, client-facing roles, B2B account management, and/or collections.
  • Automotive and/or floorplan industry background preferred.
  • Financial knowledge and acumen preferred.
