About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People Operations Senior Specialist to join our team in São Paulo. As a key member of our People Operations team, you will play a critical role in promoting a seamless and customer-focused experience across the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary point of contact for employee queries and provide timely responses to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date HR system records and employee data.
  • Partner with our Payroll team to ensure error-free payroll processing and collaborate with our People Technology team to identify opportunities for automation.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding tasks and ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Purchase and verify benefits, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Update HR operations processes, such as checklists, manuals, and schedules, to reflect team decisions.
  • Make recommendations to improve current processes and policies.
  • Support employees navigating leave and benefit plans, providing guidance and resources.
  • Maintain the digital information space (Confluence) for People Operations information, ensuring easy access for employees.
  • Process Workday actions related to the employee lifecycle.
  • Facilitate employment transfers between geographies, ensuring employees understand the process.
  • Manage the offboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for departing employees.
  • Provide guidance to leads locally and globally on Brazil and Mexico-specific processes, systems, and benefit policies.
  • Partner with People apprentices to develop their operational skills and provide world-class people support.
  • Contribute to projects on a local and global level, shaping the future of Wise.
  • Provide additional support to the People team and leaders with ad-hoc tasks, data queries, and project-based work.

About You:

We're looking for someone with:

  • Radiant people skills, with a strong ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal. Other languages are a plus.
  • At least an intermediate level of knowledge and experience in Excel.
  • Honesty and reliability, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • A customer-centric approach, always thinking about how to automate and improve the employee experience.
  • Attention to detail and data-oriented, using these skills to drive informed decisions.
  • Adaptability and a solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to respond to changing priorities and think proactively.
