Key Laboratory Role

The H.B. Fuller organization seeks a highly skilled laboratory professional to assist in the preparation of technical reports, conduct adhesive testing and equipment maintenance. This critical role requires accuracy and reliability in laboratory analyses, stakeholder support and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Technical Report Preparation: Prepare comprehensive technical reports for market-related laboratory investigations.
  • Laboratory Equipment Management: Provide quotations and purchasing recommendations for laboratory equipment.
  • Purchasing Plan Development: Develop and manage a monthly purchasing plan for consumables.
  • Quality Control Monitoring: Monitor and report on Deviation of Analysis (DOA).
  • Internal Technical Support: Offer internal technical support for new adhesive testing and customer complaints.
  • Comparative Testing: Conduct comparative testing and document results.
  • Analytical Methodologies: Analyze physicochemical properties of adhesives and determine raw material approval or rejection.
  • Methodology Implementation: Create, validate, and implement analytical methodologies.
  • Training and Development: Train interns during onboarding and participate in online client meetings to present technical reports.
  • Supplier Interface: Interface with suppliers for equipment acquisition and training.
  • Workplace Safety: Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain organization and cleanliness of the work area.
  • Company Policies: Comply with company Ethics, Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Junior college degree or higher in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in laboratory work or technical support.
  • Laboratory Skills: Strong hands-on laboratory skills.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Requirements

  • Industry Experience: Experience in the adhesives or chemical industry.
  • Certifications: Additional certifications in laboratory analysis or equipment handling.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English and/or other relevant languages.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Laboratory Tools Familiarity: Familiarity with laboratory management systems or tools.
