As a member of our field-based team, you'll be responsible for providing medical information through scientific exchange, supporting investigator-initiated clinical trials, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to enhance patient enrollment in company-sponsored clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and connect with KOLs in academic and community centers.
  • Support NPP activities using the science behind our products.
  • Act as primary liaison to investigators interested in developing and performing investigator-initiated research.
  • Develop and execute territory plans in alignment with country-level plans.
  • Provide clinical presentations and medical information in response to unsolicited questions in academic, community, and healthcare provider settings.
  • Communicate complex scientific information to various audiences, including KOLs, healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the collection and dissemination of scientific data, including real-world evidence and clinical trial results.
  • Provide clinical disease state presentations to key stakeholders, including payers.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations to enhance patient enrollment in company-sponsored clinical trials.
  • Provide scientific support at medical congresses.
  • Provide timely medical insights and information on emerging clinical/scientific teams and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all activities are compliant with company policies and SOPs.
  • Serve as mentor and train new team members.
Requirements:
  • Medical degree with at least 4 years of previous MSL and relevant disease state clinical experience required.
  • Rare disease experience preferred, particularly in metabolic genetic diseases.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills required.
  • Fluent Spanish and English.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively presenting clinical/scientific information required.
  • Expert understanding of the local healthcare delivery system and its impact on patient care and regional medical care.
  • Ability to relate and work with a wide range of people to achieve results.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional manner.
  • Ability to make decisions with a significant impact on the department's credibility, operations, and services.
  • Ability to create materials such as reports, presentations for inside and outside the organization, and present/speak to groups.
  • Time and territory management skills required.
  • Approximately 50-60% travel is required; overnight travel is required as needed.
