The Supply Chain Optimization Specialist is responsible for overseeing logistics and transportation operations in the Middle Mile supply chain segment, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products. This role requires strategic thinking, effective communication, and a strong analytical mindset to streamline operations, improve service levels, and reduce lead times.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to optimize Middle Mile supply chain operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze transportation routes, modes of transport, and delivery schedules for efficiency and cost savings.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics specialists and coordinators to ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in Middle Mile logistics operations.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or transportation operations, with a focus on the Middle Mile segment.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and supply chain software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
