Expert Support Needed for Sustainable Claims Development

We're looking for a highly skilled consultant to assist in developing a streamlined claims framework. This framework will enable our partners to showcase their impact while ensuring accurate data and alignment with legislation.

The consultant will review the proposed claims framework through interviews, data assessment, and research. Key tasks include:

  • Conducting in-depth interviews with our teams and partners to gain insights into the current claims framework
  • Assessing data collection for new offerings and determining its relevance to the claims framework
  • Ensuring alignment with EU Empowering Consumers Directive and EU Green Claims Directive criteria
  • Aligning claims with other relevant legal frameworks and authoritative sustainability initiatives
  • Conducting thorough desk research on claim relevance

The consultant's deliverables will include an initial assessment of the claims framework, development of alternative claims, and clear guidelines for future claim development.

This is a short-term project from July to September 2024. The initial assessment should be completed by mid-August 2024.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting multi-stakeholder sustainability initiatives and frameworks
  • Previous experience in benchmarking standards against EU legislation or other major laws related to sustainability
  • Good knowledge of certification systems and the agricultural sector in tropical areas is a plus
