Job Overview:

The Fleet Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services by developing and executing driver schedules, maintaining fleet vehicles, and coordinating with stakeholders to address cancellations, coverage, and maintenance issues.

  • Ensures accurate completion of daily mileage logs and other required documentation within allotted time frames.
  • Responds promptly to cancellations from individual riders, care providers, program closings/delays, and weather-related emergencies.
  • Submits accurate transportation billing on a daily basis.
  • Routinely communicates with families, individuals, and outside agencies/providers to resolve issues and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Trains and orients new drivers to ensure they understand their responsibilities and can perform their duties effectively.
  • Provides support and assistance in interactions with the community, maintaining sensitivity to individual rights and dignity.
  • Monitors safety procedures during vehicle operation and loading procedures, including assisting individuals as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and orient new drivers.
  • Provide support and assistance in interactions with the community.

This role plays a critical part in supporting our Adult Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) Day Programs, which provide opportunities for individuals to engage in recreational activities, receive social support, and develop life skills. The Fleet Operations Coordinator must ensure that transportation needs are met in a safe and efficient manner.
