The industry is rapidly moving towards software-defined services, leveraging open source software, cloud computing, and virtualized network functions (VNFs). Canonical Ubuntu plays a key role in this transformation, and we are seeking specialists to drive change.
- Map customer needs with advanced capabilities in VNF/CNF/NFVi/NFVO/VNFM/VIM/MEC domains
- Provide technical pre-sales consulting to service provider teams on cloud infrastructure
- Design and implement multi-tenant private clouds and micro clouds for telco-grade services
- Deploy cloud solutions using OpenStack, Kubernetes, MAAS, and Ceph
- Investigate, report, and fix defects uncovered during customer deployments
- Demonstrate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) techniques relevant to telco (automation scripting, Terraform, etc.)
- Learn model-driven operations with Juju charms for Kafka, Hadoop, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, NGINX, and more
- Help customers adopt Bare Metal, Public, Private, and Hybrid Cloud solutions
- Drive meaningful product improvements through learnings from customer engagements
- Contribute to shaping our roadmap to accelerate growth in the telco market
We seek individuals with experience in Python development, Terraform automation, and a thorough understanding of the telco NFVi (VIM), NFVO, VNFM, and MEC space.
Additional skills include a second language and a track record of open source contributions.
