Job Description:
At Amazon, we are seeking a highly skilled Customer Practice Manager to lead and support significant customer programs during the solution and pursuit stages. This role involves developing a long-term Professional Services strategy and executing that strategy with our customers. As a trusted advisor, you will be responsible for all aspects of business development, deal structuring, and deal closure in key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage customers by collaborating with AWS sales and partner teams to develop strong customer and partner relationships and build a growing business and drive AWS adoption in a geographic territory and/or for a named set of customers.
  • Think big by assessing customer marketplace circumstances, organizational readiness, and C-level sponsor willingness to initiate conversations that lead to broader strategic transformation programs, construct large programs which include multiple engagement services.
  • Envision and inspire customers to identify and develop specific opportunities and related business cases, deal shaping, including estimations and deal pricing.
  • Enable cloud transformation by developing long-term Cloud Strategy with customers, identifying and developing specific opportunities and supporting business cases, managing issues and risks.
  • Support the commercial relationship by planning and implementing a project portfolio, including budget and deliverables responsibilities.


Requirements:
  • 7+ years of technical specialist, design, and architecture experience.
  • 5+ years of database (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) experience.
  • 7+ years of consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience.
  • 5+ years of software development with object-oriented language experience.
  • 3+ years of cloud-based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network, and operating system experience.
  • 7+ years of external or internal customer-facing, complex, and large-scale project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions.
