Regional Packaging Specialist

The role of Regional Packaging Specialist is to oversee the packaging strategy for the LATAM region, ensuring that all specifications are in place to guarantee quality. This involves working closely with various teams, including Marketing, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Regulatory and Procurement.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that regional packaging requirements are incorporated into innovation briefs and serve as the regional gatekeeper to guarantee a seamless implementation of new packaging.
  • Collaborate with teams to manage the packaging range in LATAM, providing expertise in R&D packaging.
  • Oversee packaging supply and manufacturing, focusing on quality, supplier selection and total costs in the supply chain.
  • Develop and implement new packaging components on a regional level for projects outside the Innovation Development process scope, ensuring delivery against predefined criteria based on agreed briefs.
  • Work with Procurement and Quality Assurance to identify savings opportunities for existing packaging.
  • Maintain up-to-date packaging specifications and drawings, ensuring agreement with suppliers and documentation capture in Product Life Cycle management systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry Engineering, Packaging and Materials Engineering or similar discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards.
  • Knowledge of packaging production, materials and filling techniques.
  • Understanding of project management and product life cycle management.
  • Able to prioritize work across multiple projects to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication of technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive, organized and constructive communication skills.
  • Intermediate English and Spanish proficiency.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
