Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management of a team based at a construction yard. This will involve supporting fabrication requirements, including following up with vendors, addressing technical queries, reviewing construction progress, and identifying deviations.

In addition, the candidate will need to respond to site technical queries with engineering team support, act as a local focal point for contractor coordination on technical, security, and safety matters, and demonstrate exemplary behavior regarding company rules and requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the oil and gas industry, especially in SURF, and have a strong background in construction. They will also be able to identify, analyze, and solve problems related to HSE, technical, procurement, transportation, storage, and preservation, engineering, construction, quality control, schedule, and costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the team based at the construction yard
  • Support fabrication requirements, including following up with vendors, addressing technical queries, reviewing construction progress, and identifying deviations
  • Respond to site technical queries with engineering team support
  • Act as a local focal point for contractor coordination on technical, security, and safety matters

Coordination and Follow-up:

  • Organize and control activities related to fabrication and construction of equipment/facilities
  • Assist in identifying deviations, material deliveries, shortages, and required vendors mobilization
  • Develop and organize close follow-up for material and equipment storage, transportation, preservation, and allocation
  • Review site execution progress during construction and monitor schedules

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Engineer with minimum 10 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, especially in SURF
  • Experience in a major EPCI project
  • Able to identify, analyze, and solve problems (HSE, technical, procurement, transportation, storage, and preservation, engineering, construction, quality control, schedule, costs)
  • Construction background
  • Able to work as part of a team and accept strong responsibility

Languages:

  • Fluent Portuguese
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
