The Amazon Financial Technology Team is seeking an IT Application Specialist focused on enhancing our tax integration systems and platforms, specifically tailored for Brazil.


Our applications serve as the core for all tax and financial information.

We provide the technological backbone and orchestration for various essential tax processes, encompassing both direct and indirect taxes, on a domestic and international scale.

This role demands a proactive approach, where your capacity to quickly assimilate information and manage diverse tasks will be pivotal to your success.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting analysis and validation of tax data flow input and output streams, ensuring reconciliation of tax data in relation to both online and offline transactions, while offering support to system end users.
  • Collaborating with business partners to investigate and analyze inquiries and issues related to tax software, including its configuration and calculations.
  • Providing troubleshooting and support for any interface discrepancies between systems.
  • Engaging in the design and development of technological solutions, leveraging data to enhance or transform business processes.
  • Emphasizing cross-functional communication to ensure clarity regarding key decisions, risks, issues, and the status of solutions.
  • Challenging the capabilities of third-party software through innovative design and delivery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience with tax software is essential.
  • Familiarity with Oracle database and middleware technologies is preferred.
  • Experience with Synchro is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years in developing and supporting software applications.
  • At least 4 years of experience in data analysis and SQL.
  • 4+ years with reporting systems and business applications such as MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Project, and MS SQL.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the implementation, configuration, support, and reporting of financial or tax software.
  • Familiarity with Oracle EBS or other ERP systems related to Financial, Tax, and Accounting modules.
  • Experience with Oracle is preferred.
