We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to join our KYC Operations team.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our financial ecosystem by conducting enhanced due diligence reviews and identifying potential risks associated with customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews based on customer risk profiles.
  • Analyse customer transaction history and identify potential risks or suspicious activity.
  • Review and assess high-risk customer reports, providing analysis and approval as per established policies and procedures.
  • Exercise discretion in prioritizing customer records for further review and take action to obtain and follow up on requested information and documentation.
  • Evaluate customer-provided information and documentation to ensure it meets our risk appetite for onboarding and maintaining high-risk customers.
  • Perform in-depth analysis using provided documentation or external sources, ensuring only customers within our risk appetite are onboarded.
  • Communicate with internal teams to handle escalated or complex cases.
  • Provide guidance and responses to daily inquiries from peers, front-line staff, and management regarding complex matters and case analysis.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of AML/CFT regulations and their impact on our business, products, and services.
  • Draft SAR narratives to report unusual activity when warranted.
  • Participate in and lead projects related to team processes and guidelines, identifying improvement opportunities and contributing to policy updates, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience in operations or financial services, preferably in CDD/EDD/AML or compliance roles.
  • Working knowledge of global KYC/AML compliance regulations and standards.
  • Ability to make decisions and apply a risk-based approach at work.
  • Punctual, independent, proactive, and willing to get things done.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational skills, attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to adhere to strict KPIs in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to handle routine and stressful situations well.
  • Ability to work autonomously within a limited variety of well-defined procedures and practices.
  • Familiarity reading legal and regulatory documents.
Nice to Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
  • Certifications: ICA, CAMS, or equivalent certification (EDD/AML focused).
