Strategic Partnership Executive

This is a senior-level sales leadership role that involves building robust relationships with Global System Integrator (GSI) partners to drive business growth and reinforce the partnership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish trusted partnerships at all levels, focusing on fostering loyalty towards Ubuntu technology.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the Linux and cloud software ecosystem, as well as open-source selling models.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Gain a deep understanding of partner organizations and their sales strategies, particularly those related to Global System Integrators.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, sales engineering, and product management teams to achieve targets, objectives, and provide valuable insights from partners.
  • Lead high-level interlocks between partners and Canonical's leadership team.
Requirements:
  • Substantial experience in alliance or indirect sales leadership roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of OpenStack, virtualization, containers, and other Cloud technologies.
  • A self-motivated, disciplined, hands-on individual with a get-it-done mentality.
  • Ability to identify customer needs, evaluate gaps, and create opportunities.
  • Passionate about Ubuntu products and mission.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with ambitious achievement goals.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of success in sales leadership, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a deep understanding of the Linux and cloud software ecosystem.
